Therapy / Counseling
Therapy—sometimes called psychotherapy or counseling—is a process where you work one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Together, you’ll explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging memories, and identify areas of life you’d like to change. Counseling can help you better understand yourself and others, set personal goals, and take steps toward meaningful change. Individual counseling is available for children, adolescents, and adults, and may include trauma-focused approaches when needed—especially after experiences such as violence, crisis situations, or other traumatic events.

At PCH, we use a variety of evidence-based, person-centered approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Our services include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reshape unhelpful thought patterns, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process trauma and reduce distress, and other specialized modalities. We also offer couples, marital, and family counseling to strengthen relationships, as well as school-based outpatient therapy that supports students in their learning environment. No matter which approach is used, our therapists are committed to helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
